XVII Age of Winged Cavaliers
Hello!
Finaly I`ve made it.
Afther 2-3 months of work (only part time! I`m not an game developer, even I`m not a skilled programmer) I`ve decided to share my early stage of my new project.
XVII Age of Winged Cavaliers is a hex, turn based historilcal strategy game. Idea of this game was to make a single player game, that would be playable to everyone with a storng historical, nearly linear plot, like the classic Panzer General game. Unity engine provides much tools to create UI and to manage graphics and logic. Most challenging was the construction of Artificial Inteligence to obtain playable duels. This is a early version with fixed dimensions of battlefield, basic AI concepts. The inpiration and base for graphics for the project I found from a numerous (Public Domian, C0 mostly) art like the Józef Brandt or Juliusz Kossak paintings.
For now it`s a playable veriosn of first tutorial scenario. It`s about very interesting times of Chmielnicki uprising in the far southeast part of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in XVIIth century. The plot is based on the Henryk Sienkiewicz novel "With Fire and Sword"
